From Classroom to Company: Building AI-Driven Innovators
FUTURETECH is more than a program, it’s a movement. We’re building a community of students who aren’t just learning about technology and entrepreneurship, they’re actively creating the future.
Through project-based learning, mentorship, and real-world challenges, students develop the mindset and skills of founders. They learn to identify problems, leverage AI tools, think creatively, and build solutions that matter.
Built to align with ODE Work-Based Learning outcomes and seamlessly connect to higher education and workforce pathways.
In FUTURETECH, students will:
- Discover the hidden patterns behind successful ventures and validate ideas like seasoned founders.
- Use AI as a creative collaborator — to research markets, draft pitches, and prototype products.
- Build a real venture from scratch: identify a problem, design a solution, and ship a working prototype.
- Learn financial literacy, lean operations, and strategic storytelling alongside their technical work.
- Present to mentors, investors, and community partners at a culminating showcase.

AI-Native Entrepreneurship

The program is shaped by working founders who've raised capital, sold companies, and built brands. Students learn how things actually get done.
Real-World Mentorship
Each cohort is paired with mentors from Toledo's growing tech and entrepreneurship community — including alumni of Black Tech Green Money and AfroTech.

Every student leaves with a working product, a polished pitch, and a portfolio that opens doors — to college, to capital, and to opportunity.
The FUTURETECH Showcase
Every cohort culminates in a public showcase — students pitch their ventures to a room of mentors, investors, educators, and community leaders. It’s where classroom work meets the real world, and where careers begin.
